If you use an email with your own personal domain name instead of a third-party one, you’ll be able to use an email software application such as Apple Mail, Outlook or Thunderbird to access and administer your mailboxes. The benefit of using such apps is that you can also take advantage of other features, such as address books and calendars. There are two email delivery protocols that you can choose from when you set up the application of your choosing to access your mailbox – POP3 and IMAP. With the first protocol, all messages that are received will be downloaded onto your device – mobile or desktop, unless you choose to leave a copy on the email server. With the second protocol, the messages will be displayed at your end, but they will remain on the server all the time, so you can set up the account on multiple devices and access the messages from any place. You’ll also be able to check old emails in case there’s a problem with your Internet connectivity, which is a big advantage over a web-based service.

POP3 IMAP E-mail Accounts in Cloud Website Hosting

You will be able to use any email client software and any device to check your emails if you pick any of our cloud website hosting plans. Our mail servers support both email retrieval protocols (IMAP and POP3), so you can choose the one that fits your interests – you can download all email messages onto your personal computer or you can store the emails on the email server in case you have a company and different employees need to gain access to them, for example. You can even download a configuration file for a specific mailbox for any of the three most widely used desktop email clients – Apple Mail, Thunderbird and Outlook. You will just need to run the file on your PC and that email account will be set up automatically. In case you want to use your smartphone, we’ve got elaborate tutorials on how to configure a mailbox on an iOS- or an Android-driven device.

POP3 IMAP E-mail Accounts in Semi-dedicated Servers

You can choose between the IMAP and the POP3 email delivery protocols in case you have a semi-dedicated server account with our company. We support both, so you can choose what to do with your email messages – to download them on your personal computer or to keep them on the email server and to view them from multiple devices. The latter option will also allow multiple people to use the same mailbox – in case you are hosting a corporate web site on our servers, for instance. You can find auto-configuration files in the Email Manager section of our Hepsia Control Panel, which will allow you to set up everything automatically in a software application of your choice – Apple Mail, Outlook or Thunderbird, so you will not have to tweak anything manually. If you’ve got a smartphone, you can set up any mailbox just as easily – simply follow our in-depth tutorials for iPhone and Android. To make things easier, our instructional articles contain step-by-step screen-caps.
