A catch-all mailbox receives email messages sent to inactive email addresses under the same domain name. For example, an email sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can get emails from buddies or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be redirected to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all mailbox without effort in case you’ve got a cloud website hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel is feature-rich, yet very intuitive, and it will allow you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with only several mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you have created will be shown alphabetically in this section and to the right of each one of them you’ll find a tiny "Catch-all" sign. Clicking on it once will enable the feature, clicking it twice will deactivate it. Since you can have only one such mailbox per domain, our system will warn you if you already have a different one with this option enabled or if you have activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-created Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with every semi-dedicated server plan that we’re offering will permit you to set up a catch-all mailbox with ease even in case you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to do that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each mailbox that you’ve created with your domain names in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will inform you if you’ve already set up another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding activated. If you reach the decision that you do not want the feature anymore, you can deactivate it by clicking again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
